It’s not that much about what the people will do with the money, it’s much more about what the money will do to the people. Even just the fact of getting money from patrons on a regular basis is a huge encouragement to keep working on your ideas and feels like a monthly energiser.
This is also underpinned by Michael Bohmeyer, the founder of the Mein Grundeinkommen association. His experience shows that “after a year of getting a basic income I am facing self-confident, reflecting and healthy people who treat others considerately and who want and have energy to develop and set up something meaningful. People transform this trust into self-confidence. They work with more motivation and are less stressed, they live healthier, continue educating themselves and are able to work with drive.”
